Meeting on Traffic Flow at Mahallah Talhah & Maimunah inside campus

On 11 July 2011,there was a meeting involving Tn Hj Azmi (Director of Administration IIUM Kuantan), Principal of Mahallah Talhah & Maimunah, President of MRC Talhah & Maimunah, Representative from SRC, and Security Unit. The meeting is basically regarding changes of traffic flow near both Mahallah inside campus.

Thus, from the meeting several outcomes were made.

1. One way traffic flow will be implemented starting this September. It consists area from T1 until junction to parking lot at Mahallah Maimunah. The new traffic flow is been made because; to accomodate parking lot since the increment of cars at Mahallah area and to avoid congestion of traffic flow.

2. Several signage, 'bumping' & mirror (near selekoh at M5) will be made.

3. Update Mahallah development progress

At Tabari:
a. Installment of compartment and table lamps are now in progress.
b. WiFi & TV will be installed soon.
c. Clothes hanger also will be installed soon.
d. Cafe: the meeting is still ongoing.

IM2:
a. Toilet problem has been fixed.
b. PA system for musolla & TV will be provided soon.

Note: Students are advised to take care of IIUM belongings properly.

Maimunah:
a. Photocopy centre: Just got a room at Mahallah Maimunah (near K-Shop between study room and clinic) and this shop will be run by Entreprenuer Bureau MRC Maimunah.
b. K-Shop Maimunah will be open during lunch hour also (1.00pm - 2.00pm) to make sure students get the service when needed.

4. Update IIUM

a. Indoor Game Centre (IGC) at CF Sis: Limit hour usage (esp for brothers) is until 10.30pm only. Please observe also the cleanliness of the area.
b. Sports Complex will be ready by this new semester, inshaAllah.

5. Update on newly intake students for sisters: Some will be located at 2 block near at-Tabari (facing the main road). But the final decision is to be made later.
The proposal for new Mahallah (5000 beds) has been approved but the construction is not started yet.

We would like to thank to the administration of IIUM for inviting us (students) to be involved and participated in the meeting. We hope this kind of meeting which involving students and administration, will be always organized so that we can share ideas and views on several matters.

    alhamdulillah. ada prubhn especially kat area m5 sbb sy yg mnaiki motor pernah kemlgn dgn sebuah kereta di selekoh berdekatan m5. tp sy berharap agar pihak u menetapkn had laju kenderaan di dlm kampus utk elakkn kemalangan lg.
